Definitely off the beaten path and back in time, we travel the narrow winding roads of Maui’s northern coastline into Kahakuloa Valley. Here we have not only garnered the key to pass onto private property, but more importantly, an invitation to enter from this Hawaiian village where today’s residents mark many generations in caring for this land. We journey up the river valley and back into time where the privilege is all ours to visit with village residents. These Hawaiiana experts gladly share several of their cultural practices including taro farming, pounding poi (a local favorite food) and kapa (bark cloth) design. First your private helicopter will fly you over Haleakala Crater for a bird’s eye view of this geological wonder. From the stark desert appearance of this volcanic crater we then fly over the intense greenery of the rain forest canopy. Giant waterfalls are everywhere in the deep valleys and canyons that make up Maui's eastern side. This combination of the volcano and the rain forest is one of our favorites!

After your flight we touch down at the Hana Airport and drive you to meet your paniolo (cowboy) guide for an educational ride through Hawaiian history. Your guide will teach you about the history of the Hana area and the original Hawaiian cowboys as you enjoy the amazing views of the ocean below and the rain forest above.

We have a picnic lunch before we head out on a 5 mile round trip hike into the national park to stretch the legs, view some amazing waterfalls, giant bamboo forests and maybe even take a little swim. After the hike we drive you back on the Hana Highway so you can see this famous road up close.

Your private helicopter will fly you across the Au’Au’ Channel to view the tropical waterfalls and rain forests of Molokai and then across the ocean to the remote island of Lanai. After you touch down on Lanai you'll take a four-wheel drive journey through a “painted desert” called the Garden of the Gods and then through its opposite -- an isolated high ridge drive in Lanai's forests.

You'll continue on to the quaint little town of Lanai City for lunch at The Lodge at Koele, a luxury Four Seasons hotel. After lunch you drive to Manele Bay where your private sailboat is waiting to sail you back to Maui. Along the way we will search for dolphins and whales while you relax. We can even stop for some crystal-clear snorkeling if you like. It’s your day and you are in charge.
