| “This tour was the second highlight of my honeymoon,” teases Jason. The trip started with a van ride through pineapple fields on dirt roads. When the guide opened a locked set of gates, Jason and Heather knew they were off the beaten track. “We entered an area which was canopied with vegetation. Some trees had roots we could swing on,” says Jason. Despite being with a group, the trip was romantic. “We tucked behind some trees to seal a few kisses and it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere,” he continues
After a two-hour hike, they stopped for a picnic on a ridge. Then they drove down to a beautiful bay where kayaks were waiting. The group stayed within eyesight of each other as they kayaked along the coast, and their guide pointed out marine life along the way. “ A Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle got within about ten feet of our kayak. It seemed humongousand probably weighed aver 200 pounds,” says Jason.
Her favorite moments: Snorkeling. “We had brought our own snorkels, and several times, we jumped off our kayaks. We saw some amazing fish.
His favorite moment: The view from the mountain top. “We saw resorts and other islands in the distance. We’d spent so much time by the ocean, it was nice to get this whole other view of the island.”
